- Was granted the trademark The Magic Lawyer on January 2, 2007 by the United States Patent and Trademark Office (serial no.78826281)
- Qualified for, and accepted into, Mensa, the High IQ Society
- Elected to Board of Directors of DeKalb College (now known as Georgia Perimeter College) Alumni Association for 1997-1998 term
- Represented the Plaintiff in the controversial case of Griffiths v. Schafer, 478 S.E.2d 625 (1996), which went to the Court of Appeals of Georgia on appeal
- Overturned, in Federal Court, a state law that would have prohibited use of public records for commercial use. Speer v. Miller, 15 F.3d 1007 (11th Cir. 1994). Established Federal legal precedent in the area of First Amendment law
- Was local counsel in Georgia for the Defendant in the high profile case of United States of America v. LaVista
- Manage and operate Speer Law Offices. Have personally handled well over 4,000 criminal and civil cases
- Took and passed the Georgia Bar Examination on first sitting in February of 1989
